George Tanner

 

Hi,

I'm George Tanner; I am 14years old and go to Filton High. Last year I was a Deputy

Member of the youth Parliament. I have enjoyed representing and getting young

people's voices heard.

 

I Choose to re-run as I love to make a difference and I think the importance of youth parliament needs to be made clearer as we are the future.

I am going to campaign to tackle cyber bullying and involve young people as much as possible. This is an important subject as at some point in your life you or a friend may have experienced bullying. Many have recognised cyber bullying as the silent, sly form of bullying. I will be dedicated to this specific campaign to ensure that advice

and support is given to any one who is being bullied. I will do this by having an

anonymous web site people can report to and dedicated person who you can go to

(like the Bully Watch project).

 

As well as this I think it is important to keep you updated on any campaign progress,

so you can have a say and get involved.

 

A bit about me I enjoy many things especially acting, but this does not mean I am

always dramatic, I have a serious side. This does not stop me from having a laugh and enjoying myself but I can commit to a role when I am asked to be in it.

 

I will do my best to achieve and make a difference for the young people of South Gloucestershire.
