Kingswood Locality Forum Survey
There were 132 responses from young people across the locality. The results are below
Police & Crime - most had met a PSCO, the majority felt PSCO's were there to help & support, 91 out of 132 people felt comfortable taking to a PSCO. Only 30 people hadn't experienced being victims of bullying or crime, only 11 said this was down to hate crime.
About you - most people who answered came from BS30, most where 15, more boys than girls, most hang out at friends house, most people were members of groups or clubs, people wanted to do more dance & music.
Safety - Most people felt safe in there area, People felt safest outside their houses or in parks, People felt more Police, PCSOS & more lights would make their area safer. People least liked to go in lanes, subways and cyclepaths.
Parks - Most visited either rarely or often, an equal amount of people both liked and disliked park equipment, most said park equipment wasn't age appropriate. Most wanted to improve the amount of equipment.
The forum are planning to design a yp friendly way of feeding this back to young people and are planning actions around the outcomes.
